أصدر نادي بيراميدز، بيانًا رسميًا أعلن فيه تضامنه مع الأشقاء في قطاع غزة، جراء ما يتعرض له شعب فلسطين من اعتداءات وظروف غير إنسانية.

ويعاني الشعب الفلسطيني في قطاع غزة خلال الفترة الحالية، من هجمات متتالية من جانب إسرائيل، أسفرت عن سقوط المئات من الضحايا، معظمهم من النساء والأطفال، كما قصف الكيان الصهيوني أحد المستشفيات بالقطاع، في حدث استنكره الجميع داخل الوطن العربي وخارجه.

وقرر نادي بيراميدز التضامن مع الشعب الفلسطيني، وإسراع الخطى في سبيل دعمهم بشتى الطرق.

يعرب نادي بيراميدز وكافة العاملين به عن تضامنهم مع الأشقاء الفلسطينيين بقطاع غزة في ظل الأوقات الصعبة التي يمرون بها، والظروف غير الإنسانية السيئة التي تحيط بهم من كل الجوانب تحت وطأة الاحتلال.

ويؤكد النادي رفضه التام للهجوم الغاشم الذي يتعرض له أبناء القطاع والمدنيين العزل في بيوتهم والمستشفيات والمساجد والكنائس، ويطالب بالوقف الفوري لإطلاق النار.

ويعلن بيراميدز إطلاق عدة مبادرات داخلية من أجل دعم أهلنا بغزة ومساعدتهم، وذلك بالتعاون مع كل من الهلال الأحمر المصري وبنك الطعام المصري وبنك الكساء المصري.

يرتبط الفرنسي كيليان مبابي مهاجم باريس سان جيرمان، بصورة مستمرة بخطوة الانتقال إلى صفوف ريال مدريد الإسباني.

وينتهي عقد مبابي الحالي مع باريس سان جيرمان بنهاية الموسم الجاري، ولم يصل بعد لاتفاق للتجديد رغم محاولات النادي الفرنسي.

وتشير صحيفة “ماركا” الإسبانية إلى أن هناك غموضًا بشأن مصير مبابي، وارتباطه بريال مدريد. 

ويوضح التقرير أنه على الرغم من عدم الحديث من قبل ريال مدريد على إمكانية ضم مبابي، إلا أنه في الوقت ذاته، خطوة التعاقد معه غير مستبعدة.

وتتابع الصحيفة أن كل الافتراضات تشير إلى أن مستقبل مبابي سيكون في ريال مدريد، ووصوله سيكون مؤكدًا في يونيو 2024.

وسيكون مبابي حرًا في التفاوض مع أي نادٍ بداية من شهر يناير القادم، في ظل عدم تجديد عقده الحالي مع باريس سان جيرمان.

وتشير الصحيفة إلى أنه في ريال مدريد يريدون الابتعاد عن ضرورة التعاقد مع لاعب لا يزالون غير قادرين على الحديث عنه ولا يثقون به بشكل كامل أيضًا، لكن في الوقت ذاته هو أن لاعبي ريال مدريد يعتبرون وصول مبابي أمرًا مفروغًا منه.

وتوضح أنه حتى فينيسيوس جونيور مهاجم ريال مدريد نفسه أعلن أنه يتطلع للعب معه، وتم التقاط صورة لرودريجو مع الفرنسي.

لكن فيما يتعلق بأصحاب القرار في ريال مدريد لم تحسم الأمور بعد ولم يتم الحديث عن خطوة التفاوض لضم مبابي.

في ريال مدريد يراهنون على أن باريس سان جيرمان سيجدد محاولاته لإقناع مبابي بتجديد عقده، وينتظر النادي الإسباني ويفضل التزام الصمت قبل اتخاذ أي خطوة رسمية.

Former England batsman Geoff Pullar has died aged 79. A tall, strong left-hander, Pullar played 28 Tests, making his debut against India in July 1959. He was also named one of Wisden’s Cricketers of the Year in 1960.Pullar played 400 first-class games, scoring 21528 runs at 35.34, representing Lancashire and Gloucestershire among other teams. In Tests, he scored 1974 runs at an average of 43.86 with four hundreds and 12 fifties.Though he started as a middle-order batsman, his strong technique forced the selectors to play him as an opener, and Pullar responded with 75 against India in Headingley, and 131 at Old Trafford – the first Test century scored by a Lancastrian on his home ground. Pullar’s final match was against Australia in Adelaide in January 1963.

Ishant Sharma’s knee, meanwhile, has turned up as a new problem area. He last bowled in a match in the Boxing Day Test, which means he has spent a month away from competitive cricket. A month is a long time for just a minor injury. He was picked for the Australia Day ODI, but rain meant that he didn’t bowl. Four days later he wasn’t picked because of fitness issues.Turns out Ishant did his knee again in the only training session India had between the two matches. “He bowled in the nets, and after that he had a sore knee because of the nets session,” MS Dhoni said when asked what went wrong so soon. “Before that also he was bowling but he was fine, but by the time we came for the press conference there was no niggle as such. This came to our notice by evening but it was too late for us to do anything. Also we didn’t want to push him. Because if there is a niggle it may turn into an injury.”Knee injuries, just like the hammie that Rohit has suffered from, are not to be taken lightly, which is why the extra caution with Ishant. Between the MCG Test and the ODI that Ishant was finally picked for, he had been gradually increasing his workload. Quinton de Kock is the only member of South Africa’s top six who did not score a century in the group stage of this World Cup, but he remains his captain’s “first pick,” for the starting XI in the knockouts.”There is no doubt in my mind that Quinton is a match winner and he will play a part in us winning this World Cup,” AB de Villiers said. “He is still my first pick. When push comes to shove, I believe he will play a big knock for us. I’d hate to see him go but it’s something we’ll discuss as we go on”De Kock notched 26 against UAE, his highest score of the tournament and only his second in double figures. He spent an hour and a quarter at the crease grinding out what de Villiers saw as a gutsy innings. “He showed signs of good form, he was much better and prepared to fight it out,” de Villiers said.De Kock has not made a half-century this year, since returning from an ankle ligament tear which healed a month sooner than expected, and has been retained mainly on reputation and for another reason, as de Villiers revealed.”I don’t want to keep,” he said. “It puts a lot of pressure on me when I am in the field and managing the bowler.
