Os três pontos conquistados na partida contra o Atlético-PR, no último domingo, no Maracanã, fez o Fluminense terminar a rodada na quinta colocação, dentro do G6, zona de classificação à Copa Libertadores do próximo ano. Former England batsman Geoff Pullar has died aged 79. A tall, strong left-hander, Pullar played 28 Tests, making his debut against India in July 1959. He was also named one of Wisden’s Cricketers of the Year in 1960.Pullar played 400 first-class games, scoring 21528 runs at 35.34, representing Lancashire and Gloucestershire among other teams. In Tests, he scored 1974 runs at an average of 43.86 with four hundreds and 12 fifties.Though he started as a middle-order batsman, his strong technique forced the selectors to play him as an opener, and Pullar responded with 75 against India in Headingley, and 131 at Old Trafford – the first Test century scored by a Lancastrian on his home ground. Pullar’s final match was against Australia in Adelaide in January 1963.

يرتبط الفرنسي كيليان مبابي مهاجم باريس سان جيرمان، بصورة مستمرة بخطوة الانتقال إلى صفوف ريال مدريد الإسباني.

وينتهي عقد مبابي الحالي مع باريس سان جيرمان بنهاية الموسم الجاري، ولم يصل بعد لاتفاق للتجديد رغم محاولات النادي الفرنسي.

وتشير صحيفة “ماركا” الإسبانية إلى أن هناك غموضًا بشأن مصير مبابي، وارتباطه بريال مدريد. 

ويوضح التقرير أنه على الرغم من عدم الحديث من قبل ريال مدريد على إمكانية ضم مبابي، إلا أنه في الوقت ذاته، خطوة التعاقد معه غير مستبعدة.

وتتابع الصحيفة أن كل الافتراضات تشير إلى أن مستقبل مبابي سيكون في ريال مدريد، ووصوله سيكون مؤكدًا في يونيو 2024.

وسيكون مبابي حرًا في التفاوض مع أي نادٍ بداية من شهر يناير القادم، في ظل عدم تجديد عقده الحالي مع باريس سان جيرمان.

وتشير الصحيفة إلى أنه في ريال مدريد يريدون الابتعاد عن ضرورة التعاقد مع لاعب لا يزالون غير قادرين على الحديث عنه ولا يثقون به بشكل كامل أيضًا، لكن في الوقت ذاته هو أن لاعبي ريال مدريد يعتبرون وصول مبابي أمرًا مفروغًا منه.

وتوضح أنه حتى فينيسيوس جونيور مهاجم ريال مدريد نفسه أعلن أنه يتطلع للعب معه، وتم التقاط صورة لرودريجو مع الفرنسي.

لكن فيما يتعلق بأصحاب القرار في ريال مدريد لم تحسم الأمور بعد ولم يتم الحديث عن خطوة التفاوض لضم مبابي.

في ريال مدريد يراهنون على أن باريس سان جيرمان سيجدد محاولاته لإقناع مبابي بتجديد عقده، وينتظر النادي الإسباني ويفضل التزام الصمت قبل اتخاذ أي خطوة رسمية.

Nesta quarta-feira, o São Paulo treinou no CT da Barra Funda de olho na preparação para enfrentar o Internacional, no próximo sábado, no Beira-Rio, às 19h. Para a partida, o técnico Cuca continuará não podendo contar com seus atletas machucados: Pato, Hernanes, Toró e Pablo, esse último voltou a treinar com bola em campo, mas o clube faz questão de descartá-lo para a viagem.

Desde a última segunda-feira Pablo trabalha com os companheiros, aumentando a cada dia a sua carga. Nesta quarta, por exemplo, o atacante participou de um coletivo no time considerado reserva e não pareceu ter limitações em seus movimentos. O Tricolor, porém, prefere descartar de antemão a presença do jogador entre os relacionados para o jogo de sábado.

Pablo se recupera de uma lesão ligamentar no tornozelo direito, contraída no dia 13 de julho, no clássico contra o Palmeiras. Neste momento, o clube considera que o atacante está em transição, ou seja, saindo do Reffis e sendo entregue à comissão técnica. Para não criar expectativas, ele é colocado no mesmo patamar dos outros companheiros que estão em recuperação.

Pato, Hernanes e Toró também foram para campo, mas treinaram de forma separada, em outro gramado do CT, sob os cuidados da preparação física, ou seja, ainda em transição e descartados para a partida no Beira-Rio. Embora o clube não faça distinção sobre quem está em situação mais avançada de recuperação, Toró seria o mais pronto para voltar, pois dependeria apenas de não sentir mais dor após estiramento na coxa.

O São Paulo não informa prazo de recuperação de seus atletas e mantém a postura nos casos citados acima. Hernanes, com lesão no adutor, e Alexandre Pato, com edema na coxa direita, devem demorar mais tempo para treinarem com o restante do grupo. Os quatro se juntam a Daniel Alves e Igor Gomes, na Seleção Brasileira, e Walce e Antony, na Seleção Olímpica.

A disciplined performance in the field and an explosive 35 off 19 balls from Brad Hodge helped Kochi Tuskers overcome Kolkata Knight Riders in the last match at the Nehru Stadium this IPL season.Hodge’s last over blitz, in which he took 21 runs off countryman Brett Lee, proved to be the difference between the two sides, as Kochi defended 156 by 17 runs. In the chase, RP Singh and Sreesanth failed to get the same kind of movement that Brett Lee extracted early in the Kochi innings. Jacques Kallis and Eoin Morgan didn’t have to take many risks early on as there were many poor deliveries that were smacked to the boundary. In the first three overs, the bulk of the short and wide ones came from RP Singh.R Vinay Kumar and Prasanth Parameswaran pulled back the chase before it raged out of control with a selection of back of a length deliveries that proved difficult to get away. Although they kept the boundaries down, they didn’t trouble the batsmen much and failed to get a breakthrough until after the halfway stage, when Kolkata were well set. Kallis was the senior partner and easily outscored Morgan in that phase. Seven times in the first ten overs Kallis stole the strike at the end of the over.Just as Kallis looked as though he had grown roots, Raiphi Gomez rattled Kolkata with a double strike in his second over. He bowled Kallis with a legcutter and had Gautam Gambhir caught in the covers off consecutive balls, which left Morgan to assume the senior role. Manoj Tiwary could not last long, and Yusuf Pathan was expected to counterattack, but he and Morgan were frustrated by Gomez’s variations and Parameswaran’s accurate fuller deliveries. Sreesanth let the noose loosen, giving Morgan back-to-back boundaries but Vinay Kumar was on hand to tighten it. Confusions between Morgan and Yusuf mounted in Vinay’s last over, and Morgan was run out when both batsmen ended up at the wicketkeeper’s end.It brought Brett Lee to the crease, in poetic justice for the last over he bowled, which went for 21. There were 25 to get off the last over of Kolkata’s innings. Lee was run-out and the task proved too steep.Kochi’s innings was anchored by a third-wicket partnership between Mahela Jayawardene and Michael Klinger before being given momentum at the death by Hodge. It didn’t look as though Kochi would get over the 150-run mark, especially after the way things started. Lee’s first over was a whole bag of peaches. He got impressive away movement and started the innings with a maiden.Some success seemed inevitable after the start Kolkata got and it came from Jaidev Unadkat, although he hardly deserved it. He banged one in, too short and too wide outside off that Brendon McCullum chased and his fine edge nestled in Kallis’ hands at slip.Parthiv Patel came in at No. 3 and opened his account with two stunning boundaries. He looked energetic and confident in his strokeplay and dealt with Unadkat’s bouncer and the introduction of spin, in the form of Iqbal Abdulla, with relative ease. Surprisingly, it was the short ball that undid him, when he charged down the track and miscued a pull shot to midwicket.The stage was set for Jayawardene to play an innings of authority and, with Klinger at the other end, he did exactly that. They played creative cricket, managing a boundary off five of the seven overs they were together for and pushed each other to take singles before Klinger holed out. When Abdulla got the wicket of Ravindra Jadeja for eight, Kochi were being pegged back and some impetus was needed.The floodgates were opened with Jayawardene’s six over long leg at the start of the 17th over and Kochi put on 54 runs in the final four overs, with Hodge’s fireworks yielding almost half of those.

– No momento, meu foco é alcançar a meta no paranaense, que é conquistar o título. Estamos treinando firme e vejo um time muito bom, com capacidade para chegar longe – concluiu.
