O Flamengo está nas quartas de final da Copa do Brasil. Nesta quinta-feira, o empate em 0 a 0 diante de um valente time da Ponte Preta garantiu a vaga e a boa atuação do adversário valorizou ainda mais o avanço do Rubro-Negro. Na ida, há uma semana, a equipe de Barbieri venceu por 1 a 0 em Campinas.

O adversário do Flamengo nas quartas da Copa do Brasil será conhecido através de sorteio. Defendendo a liderança do Brasileirão, o time de Maurício Barbieri volta a campo no domingo, contra a Chapecoense, na Arena Condá.

CHANCES LÁ E CÁ!

A rede não balançou na primeira etapa, mas não faltou emoção. Flamengo e Ponte disputaram um bom jogo, com boas oportunidades para os dois lados.

Empurrado pela torcida, o Rubro-Negro foi melhor no início. Apesar de ocupar o campo de ataque, demorou a finalizar contra o gol rival. A Macaca, por sua vez, assustou Diego Alves. Saraiva foi o primeiro a arriscar, mas acabou travado por Réver na área. Na sequência, Paulinho ficou com o rebote de escanteio e finalizou com perigo, à direita do gol.

A pressão do Fla teve início aos 30 minutos. Na terceira tentativa, Paquetá obrigou Ivan a fazer boa defesa. Vinicius Jr e Geuvânio brigaram pela sobra, mas a zaga afastou. O camisa 20 também arriscou, mas não acertou a meta.

GEUVÂNIO NÃO JUSTIFICA SEQUÊNCIA

Com Diego fora por lesão, Geuvânio foi titular pela terceira vez seguida. O atacante ainda não conseguiu engrenar. Contra a Ponte, teve boas chances para levar o Flamengo ao ataque, mas falhou. Os erros irritaram a torcida, que o vaiou bastante deixar o campo para a entrada de Jean Lucas, cria da Gávea.

De positivo, vale destacar a determinação de Geuvânio em recuperar as bolas perdidas. É uma característica do time de Maurício Barbieri, principalmente quando a posse da bola está com os zagueiros ou perto da área adversária.

SUSTO E CLASSIFICAÇÃO!

A Macaca voltou mais aberta para a etapa final e, por dua vezes, quase abriu o placar no Maracanã. Saraiva teve a primeira chance, mas tocou com a mão na bola antes de chutar. Já Tiago Real estava impedido. Foi depois dos sustos que Maurício Barbieri chamou Jean Lucas e Paolo Guerrero, aos 16 minutos.

O Flamengo cresceu com os dois. Guerrero finalizou com perigo à meta de Ivan. Everton Ribeiro tirou tinta do travessão, mas a Macaca, valente, lutou até o fim.

Um gol ponte-pretano levaria a decisão para os pênaltis. Aaron, aos 40 minutos da etapa final, acertou o pé da trave de Diego Alves. O apito final chegou, o gol – seja do Fla ou da Macaca -, não. Para alívio dos mais de 55 mil rubro-negros.

نجح منتخب مصر لكرة اليد في تحقيق الفوز على نظيره سلوفاكيا، بنتيجة 33-29 في نهائي دورة رومانيا الدولية الودية، التي أقيمت على مدار اليومين الماضيين استعدادًا للمشاركة في بطولة العالم المقرر إقامتها في بولندا والسويد خلال الفترة من 11 إلى 29 يناير المقبل.

وكان منتخب مصر قد فاز على الجزائر أمس الأربعاء بنتيجة 38-27 في المباراة الأولى بدورة رومانيا.

ومن المنتظر أن تعود البعثة إلى مصر غدًا الجمعة، على أن يحصل اللاعبون على راحة لمدة 3 أيام قبل السفر إلى فرنسا 3 يناير المقبل للمشاركة في دورة دولية أخيرة، ثم التوجه مباشرة إلى السويد للمشاركة في بطولة العالم.

Middlesex continued their impressive start to the season when half-centuries from Gareth Berg and Ollie Rayner carried them to a thrilling three-wicket victory at Derby.Derbyshire looked favourites when Middlesex slipped to 197 for 6 chasing 328, but Berg and Rayner turned the game with a stand of 97 in 24 overs. Berg became Tony Palladino’s fourth victim when he had made 80 from 115 balls but Rayner hit an unbeaten 58 to secure Middlesex’s second LV= CountyChampionship Second Division win.It was an impressive recovery by the visitors after Derbyshire had struck twice in the opening two overs. Middlesex had added only four runs to their overnight total of 145 for 2 when Dawid Malan pushed forward at the fifth ball of the morning from Tim Groenewald and was caught behind.Groenewald had been expensive in his opening spell on the previous evening but there were no cheap runs on offer on his return and the home side celebrated another success in the next over. Neil Dexter had scored only 2 when he was beaten by Palladino and trapped leg before to reduce the visitors to 154 for 4 and shift the balance towards Derbyshire.Dan Housego had shown composure and sound temperament in the first innings and he was again proving a considerable obstacle as he and John Simpson began rebuilding the innings. The scoring rate had dropped considerably which was an indication of the accuracy of the attack and the tension out in the middle and it was a tentative shot that finally ended Housego’s stubborn innings.He had faced 110 balls for his 27 when he prodded at Palladino and edged into the gloves of Tom Poynton. Derbyshire’s celebrations showed just how important that wicket was and they had another one before lunch when Simpson became a victim of the growing pressure.He and Berg had scored 21 in 12 overs when Simpson went for a big cut at Ross Whiteley but hit it straight to short cover where Dan Redfern held on to give the seamer his first Championship wicket.At lunch, Middlesex were 216 for 6, 112 short of their target, and Berg came out determined to break the stranglehold of the bowlers who had sent down 15 maiden overs in the morning.He drove Wes Durston’s off-spin for six and when Derbyshire claimed the newball, he cut the first delivery from Greg Smith past point to the boundary.Berg had taken his side to within 34 runs of victory when he cut Palladino to backward point to give the seamer his ninth victim in the match. But Rayner shut the door firmly in Derbyshire’s face and drove Whiteley for twoconsecutive fours to win a pulsating contest shortly after 3pm.

Guarani e Ponte Preta tentam aquecer o clássico nesta sexta-feira ao tentar marcar treinos. Entretanto, por questão de segurança, os treinos do Bugre e da Macaca são cancelados, nesta quarta-feira. A Polícia Militar e o Ministério Público chegaram em acordo para abolir os eventos, que aconteceriam no Moisés Lucarelli, às 17h, e no Brinco de Ouro, às 18h.

Antes de ratificar o cancelamento dos respectivos treinos, a Polícia Militar já tinha divulgado em nota oficial que não faria a segurança das atividades no horário marcado pelos clubes.

Deste modo, o Guarani deve continuar a programação de treinos fechados, que acontece desde sábado, no Brinco de Ouro. A Ponte Preta ainda não informou os horários que o time treinará na quinta e na sexta, pois espera o resultado do jogo contra o Flamengo.

O dérbi campineiro acontece no sábado, às 19h, com somente torcedores do Guarani no Brinco de Ouro. Ambos times venceram uma vez no Campeonato Brasileiro e buscam o segundo triunfo na competição. Além disso, estão com o mesmo número de pontos: três somados.

Em comum acordo com a diretoria da Associação Atlética Ponte Preta e com o BAEP, da Polícia Militar, o Guarani Futebol Clube comunica que não realizará o treino da próxima sexta-feira (04) com portões abertos à torcida. A venda de ingressos segue normalmente no Brinco de Ouro.

A Ponte Preta informa que, atendendo a pedido da Polícia Militar e do Ministério Público do Estado de São Paulo, decidiu cancelar o treino aberto à torcida tarde desta sexta-feira (4). O presidente José Armando Abdalla Jr esteve reunido com as autoridades nesta tarde para debater o assunto. Apesar de a Ponte ter definido o treino primeiro e solicitado primeiro a autorização policial (o protocolo da Macaca foi oficiado em 24 de abril e a solicitação do oponente, segundo a PM, chegou apenas na data de hoje, por volta das 14 horas); e ainda tendo proposto uma solução intermediária e diplomática ao Guarani, as autoridades entenderam por bem que o melhor caminho era a desautorização tanto do treino da Ponte quanto do adversário. Desta forma, o treinamento ocorrerá com os portões fechados.

The channels will be barred from practice sessions and the press conferences related to the three remaining matches, including Wednesday’s semi-final between India and Pakistan in Mohali, unless they sign a written undertaking that they will adhere to the ICC guidelines.”The channels have violated the terms and conditions of the accreditation agreement and news access guidelines they signed up to at the start of the tournament,” an ICC spokesperson told ESPNcricinfo. “Their accreditations have been deactivated.” It is believed that at least 40 leading channels will be affected.Apparently the ICC has repeatedly warned the channels of violations during the tournament and took the decision to bar them only after the guidelines continued to be breached. It is believed that the breaches have been of a commercial nature; there could be elements of ambush marketing involved with the channels running shows sponsored by companies that are in competition with the ICC sponsors.Meanwhile, the Broadcast Editors’ Association (BEA) and the National Broadcasters Association have decided to approach India’s Information & Broadcasting ministry on the matter. Shazi Zaman, the BEA president, has termed the ICC move as arbitrary and an infringement of media rights, according to .ESPN-StarSports has the broadcast rights for the World Cup. The first semi-final between Sri Lanka and New Zealand will be played in Colombo tomorrow while the final will be held in Mumbai on April 2.

Andrew Miller at the SCG04-Jan-2011James Anderson believes that England have their noses slightly in front at the end of an eventful second day at Sydney, but Mitchell Johnson’s late dismissal of Kevin Pietersen for 36 has redressed the balance of a match that looks set to become one of the closest-fought contests in recent Ashes history.Despite the tightness of the scorelines in the past two campaigns in particular, England and Australia have developed a strange tendency to beat each other out of sight in recent years, with arguably the closest contest since the 2005 Ashes being Australia’s incredible six-wicket victory at Adelaide in 2006-07.Since the 5-0 whitewash in that series, England have won two Tests by an innings and two by more than 100 runs, but have themselves been overturned by an innings at Headingley in 2009 and by 267 runs at Perth last month. This match, however, looks capable of being a much closer contest, with Australia’s tail carrying them to a defendable first innings of 280, before England replied with 3 for 167 at the close.”It’s pretty even-Steven, maybe slightly in our favour,” said James Anderson, the pick of England’s attack with 4 for 66. “But it’s a real tough one to call.
